Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2.  This is a Part Time (3x8 hour shifts) to cover shifts 10:00 to 18:30 or 11:00 to 19:30 with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites.  Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

Job Requirements:

One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required. Strong PACU/Critical Care experience preferred. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date. RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.
