We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our General Practice team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment that supports growth, learning, and exceptional patient care. As an RVT, you’ll play a key role in both clinical and client service operations, ensuring the highest standards of veterinary medicine and client experience.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to
Clinical & Patient Care
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and laboratory work
Assist with physical examinations and patient assessments
Support surgical preparation, monitoring, and patient recovery
Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients
Assist in dental procedures and anesthesia monitoring
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts
Client Service & Communication
Warmly greet clients and guide them through check-in and check-out
Educate clients on non-medical pet care topics (e.g., flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention)
Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, and make follow-up calls
Process payments and explain service fees
Facilitate prescription refills and recommend relevant products and services
Hospital Support
Maintain clean and organized workspaces, treatment areas, and exam rooms
Support front office duties as needed, including reception coverage
Participate in housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks to uphold hospital standards
Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of California
Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting required
Proficient in animal handling, clinical skills, and anesthesia monitoring
Dentistry experience preferred but not required
Ability to be cross-trained for front desk responsibilities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Tech-savvy and comfortable using computers and EMR systems
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
