Research Associate

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia seeks a Research Associate to work in the Saucerman laboratory focusing on computational and experimental research on cardiac differentiation and hypertrophy.

The applicant will be expected to interact with graduate students, perform experiments and computational analysis and contribute to publications.

This is a one-year appointment, and the appointment may be renewed contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field. 

Preferred Requirements:

Computational modeling of cardiomyocyte physiology, experiments on cardiomyocyte function; experience with human iPSC derived cardiomyocytes, strong oral and written communication skills; and the ability to interact collegially with undergraduate and graduate students.
