Research Program Coordinator
Working under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, we are seeking a **_Research Program Coordinator_** who will provide overall coordination of two NIH-funded studies focusing on survivors of violence including implementation of the intervention protocol, developing and managing data collection, recruiting participants and supervising staff. The candidate will assist with monitoring reports for the NIH. The candidate will also lead community-based recruitment of human subjects and manages data collection processes. **Specific Duties & Responsibilities** + Develop strategies to meet targets for recruitment and retention. + Identify and recruit participants and if needed assist in completing the survey. + Disseminate study information, conduct outreach and participate in recruitment events + For participants in outside states and regions, develop strategies for online screening and data collection. + Implement overall research protocol + Explain study objectives, risks, and benefits with potential participants to recruit participants. + Assist with hiring and training of other research team members. + Oversees field operations. + Assist in refining research designs, data collection methods and strategies for data management. + Participates in developing interim reports for principal investigator, funding agency, and institutional review board to ensure that the project is moving toward timely completion + Consult with the Principal investigator on appropriate management of participant problems and concerns + Develop training materials; coordinate training delivery; assure training and compliance of staff over life of project + Monitor study progress and develop reports on study progress + Maintain study-related records + Monitor study activities to ensure compliance with protocols with all relevant institutional policies + Report irregularities or adverse events to appropriate study personnel. + Makes referrals to support resources per study protocol. **Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities** + Experience working with at-risk individuals and/or survivors of violence and trauma is desired. + Candidate must have personal vehicle. + Position requires strong attention to detail and protocol adherence, while maintaining flexibility to respond to multiple priorities. + Able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within deadline. + Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. + Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health and a bilingual candidate is preferred. + Two years of experience in research or clinical setting.
