The AWS Center for Quantum Computing is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, all working to innovate in quantum computing for the benefit of our customers.

You will be joining a team focused on improving the performance of quantum processors on the path towards delivering a fault-tolerant quantum computer. We are looking to hire a Research Scientist focused on calibrating, benchmarking, and improving quantum gates on an integrated processor. In this role, you will (1) collaborate with device theorists to understand the fundamental limits of gate performance; (2) work with system engineers to set component level requirements as we scale processor complexity; (3) develop novel gate optimization routines; (4) contribute to control stack development; (5) enable novel quantum error correction demonstrations. You are expected to develop & lead high-impact research projects that intersect with our engineering roadmap. We are looking for candidates with strong engineering principles and resourcefulness. Organization and communication skills are essential.
