BSD MED - Genetic Medicine - Gilad Research Staff

About the Department

The Section of Genetic Medicine continues to shape the future of personalized medicine with successful research programs focused on the quantitative genetic and genomic science. The Section provides extremely valuable collaborations with investigators in the Department of Medicine who are seeking to develop new and more powerful ways to identify genetic risk factors for common, complex disorders with almost immediate clinical application.

Job Summary

The Section of Genetic Medicine is seeking a Research Technician with a background in molecular biology to work in the Gilad Lab. The Gilad Lab focuses on understanding how gene regulatory variation leads to phenotypic diversity in humans and other primates. We are currently working with several complex, stem cell-derived organoid models and differentiated cell lines, which we are using to study variation in gene regulatory mechanisms within and between species. Projects undertaken by this technician will support ongoing studies led by postdocs and/or graduate students in the lab. The candidate’s work may result in authorship on academic publications and real-world impact.
