Research Technician

The specialist will work closely with the PI to develop targeted therapeutic approaches for oncogene driven NSCLC and lung cancer brain metastases. Ideal candidate possesses a B.S. or B.A. in biochemistry, chemistry, or biology from an accredited college or university and have an understanding and experience with standard molecular biology, cell biology, and tissue culture methods.This position will entail significant molecular biology work and the candidate should have at least one year of laboratory experience.Prior experience and familiarity with including PCR amplification, plasmid preparation, DNA/RNA isolation and purification, restriction digestion, Northern blotting, microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting is preferred. Prior experience with mouse work experience and expertise in breeding, husbandry, and genotyping, as well xenograft treatment experiments, is preferred.

Will also be responsible for maintaining clones, antibody and sample inventories, data collection and entry, ordering supplies, and assisting and supervising support staff, along with experiments as the need arises. Keeping complete and understandable records in a laboratory notebook is required. Will monitor the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances. Performs related responsibilities as required.
