Hexcel is currently seeking a Research Technician for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Autonomously performing technical work to support scientists and engineers developing the next generation of advanced materials for the aerospace and space and defense marketsPrepreg handling and test panel fabricationLaboratory scale resin mixing, specimen preparation and testing using analytical instruments and microscopesDocumenting work and reporting results according to Hexcel Quality Management System requirementsWork in a state-of-the-art laboratory with research and development equipment in an industrial setting

Qualifications:

High School Degree or equivalentMath and computer skills including ability to use Microsoft Excel to perform basic functions  College or post-high school training preferred Candidates with experience in the area of composites, resins, polymers, adhesives or coatings strongly preferredDemonstrated ability of operating sensitive instruments or equipment strongly preferred
