Performs complex and novel procedures as a laboratory professional with a degree of independence under the general supervision of a laboratory head using proven scientific methods. When appropriate provides guidance to lab personnel. Maintains expertise on all clerical matters executing required tasks as needed pertaining to clerical matters such as equipment supply and/or other material inventory purchasing and/or maintenance. **Qualifications** **Requirements:** Four (4) years of experience in a research clinical or other scientific environment required. Six (6) years of prior work experience in a research clinical or other scientific environment preferred. Bachelors degree plus work experience in a related field required. Masters degree preferred. Familiar with laboratory techniques. Working knowledge of the scientific method and proven laboratory techniques. **Preferred:** Has knowledge of lab function and oversight. Ability to contribute technically and continues to make contributions to reviewed research reports. Ability to contribute to training and educating students technicians post doctoral associates and laboratory head if necessary. Demonstrates an ability to continually improve performance. Proficient computer skills required.
