We are looking for a Per Diem Respiratory Registered Therapist to join our team!

 

Performs respiratory care as prescribed by a physician for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illness/disease.  Responds to all Cardiac Arrests and STAT situations.  Provides Sets up, operates, and maintains respiratory equipment.  Assures accurate, complete physician order and clarifies any discrepancies. Ensures order contains complete information as per policy.  Responds to all Cardiac Arrests and STAT situations.  Responsible for monitoring oxygen cylinders and replacing/changing when necessary.  Documents all activities, patient outcomes and responses. Demonstrates compassionate, caring and respectful behavior towards patient, family and visitors.  Proficient in ABG's, intubator, ventilator management and bronchodilator therapy. 

 

Qualifications:

Registered by the NBRC (RRT).  Successful completion of an approved school of respiratory care.   Current experience as a practicing respiratory therapist in an acute care setting for at least 1 year.  Current NYS license.  BLS certified (ACLS preferred).  Experience in intubation and blood gas puncture preferred.

 

 

The rate for this position is $48.92 per hour.
