Retail Technician

Summary 
As a Retail Technician for MarketSource will ensure the quality construction of bikes for our major retailer.  As the bike assembler you will be responsible for maintaining assembly schedules, quality inspections, maintaining store displays, and backroom inventory.  In addition, you will be accountable for a territory of up to 10 stores within the assigned metro area and will travel between stores while prioritizing  the store’s needs. 

 
Essential Job Functions: 
•    Provide quality assembly and repair of products and merchandise, using manufacturer instructions while adhering to retailer rules and guidelines.
•    Efficiently complete daily schedules and tasks.
•    Assemble and tune new bikes to a high standard of quality.
•    Inspect/test bicycles after assembly for quality.
•    Assess and repair returned bikes for restock.
•    Partner with retailer to maintain inventory accuracy
•    Adhere to the store planogram and replace empty displays with the required bike models
•    Maintain bike section fully stocked, clean, and accurate.
•    Provide detailed reporting through app-based call reports on all instore activities
•    Must be able to work independently without daily supervision. 
•    Establish relationships with store leadership and other employees 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  
•    A passion for working with tools and building items
•    A strict attention to detail ensuring quality assembly of products
•    Excellent communication and relationship building skills
•    Ability to use basic hand tools, impact drill and mechanical aptitude

Job Requirements: 
•    High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
•    Must be able to kneel, bend, twist, stand for extended period of time, and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
•    1 year of assembler experience building bikes and/or similar products 
•    Proficiency with technology – data gathering and basic computer use
•    75%+ Travel required within the local market.
•    Must have a valid US Drivers License
•    Reliable transportation 
•    Must be able to work Monday-Friday.
