Retirement Partner, Relationship Manager

Institutional Consulting Solutions is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management comprised of Retirement Solutions, Endowments and Foundations, Corporate Cash and Government Entities. The holistic workplace offering is a key growth area for the Firm, with solutions ranging across all market segments. Position Summary:
As the Vice President, Retirement Partner Relationship Management you will be part of a team, instrumental in driving business growth through partnerships across recordkeepers, asset managers, software and other Advisor resources. You will be responsible for having a clear understanding of our firm-wide and business unit strategy and translate that into partner initiatives and day-to-day interactions. Specific topics would span sales, onboarding, ongoing servicing, product development, marketing, Advisor support, and plan retention.

Responsibilities:

· Act as an advocate and enabler of the broader Morgan Stanley Wealth Management strategy

· Focus on achieving retirement business objectives with strategic partners in an extremely professional manner

· Drive the internal approval process for new partners

· Manage semi-annual partner due diligence process for existing partners

· Coordinate all partner outreach, and prioritize initiatives and tactical topics

· Act as the project manager for go-to-market activities

· Coordinate with other team members to identify opportunities to unlock additional growth or scale via our strategic partnerships

· Serve as a subject matter expert on Morgan Stanley’s retirement policies and processes, working with partners to ensure adherence

· Plan partner events

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

· 10-15 years of corporate Retirement experience, with the added context of Advisor distribution

· Strategic thinker, well-versed in the retirement ecosystem and industry trends

· Strong relationship management skills

· Works well in a dynamic environment, collaborating with Financial Advisors, external partners, and other Morgan Stanley teams to meet the needs of our clients

· Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel

Confident and independent work style, positive leader of our team’s culture

· Service-oriented skills, taking accountability to fully resolve any issues

· Highly organized and familiar with matrixed reporting structures

· Acts with the highest ethical standard and integrity

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
