Risk Management - Principal Risk Vice President

Bring your expertise to JPMorgan Chase. As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.

As a Principal Risk Vice President, you will focus exclusively on tax-oriented investments (TOI) which is comprised of two segments which monetize tax credits – Affordable Housing and Green Energy (wind, solar, and emerging technologies). You will work closely with the TOI Risk Executive to manage bespoke risk in this unique structured equity portfolio, ensuring that it has the full scope of required risk management and oversight; this is a new position created to assist with managing the robust growth occurring within the Green Energy space which is priority of JPMorgan senior management. Principal investments are typically privately held financial instruments representing ownership interests or other forms of junior capital, primarily TOI and private equity investments made to enhance or accelerate the Firm’s business strategies. Principal Investments have unique risk due to their illiquidity, lack of market transparency, and their “first loss” or junior capital status. TOI comprises a substantial majority of the Principal Risk portfolio.
