RN, Electrophysiology Lab

Assists physicians during electrophysiology (EP) procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures required by operating the electrophysiology recorder, hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training, which must include at least one year of recent RN experience in cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care, ER, Cath Lab or EP Lab. Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Prior experience with general vascular and/or coronary angiography Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

PREFERRED:

BSN degree preferred Experience in electrophysiology or interventional cardiac cath lab. Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification (Formerly NASPE) or previous electrophysiology experience. Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS Allied Health) Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in electrophysiology lab or, two (2) years’ experience in an Interventional Cath Lab and successful completion of Northside Hospitals’ comprehensive orientation training program for coronary interventional cath lab under the direction of assigned preceptor.
