SFH Heart & Vascular of Massapequa, NY is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of specialists committed to providing advanced, high quality healthcare in an outpatient setting. 

The successful candidate will circulate and scrub for vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the outpatient Vascular Lab. The RN will admit and recover pre and post cath patients. The RN will cross-train to hemodynamic monitoring and is responsible to perform hemostasis. The RN provides direct nursing care to patients, assuming responsibility and accountability for the total care of assigned patients. The RN supervises and directs the activities of Vascular Tech.

Requirements:

Current licensure in the State of New York as a registered nurse. Meets the needs of the nursing service as demanded by the schedule Current BLS and ACLS. If you do not have ACLS, it must be obtained prior to start. Good written skills and verbal command of the English language. Skills in dexterity for moving and positioning patients. Ability to work well with Physicians, fellow employees and patients. Positive response to supervision and criticism. Cath lab experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Uses professional nursing judgment when treating patient problems. Assesses and monitors patients before, after and during the phases of patient care. Demonstrates competency with monitoring equipment. Performs as an advocate for excellent patient care. Provides patient assessments, history, education and instruction to patients and family. Records nursing notes accurately. Communicates a positive and caring attitude towards the patient and the family. Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established. Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned.

The pay for this position ranges from $49.65 - $74.76 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
