Summary

UNIT SUMMARY: The Pulmonary/ID unit is a 37 bed adult med- surg acute care specializing in the management of both chronic ventilator patients and peritoneal dialysis patients. We are the only unit that does peritoneal dialysis in the hospital, and we are the only acute care unit managing vents. In addition, we also manage patients with respiratory issues, infectious diseases.    JOB SUMMARY: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and function as advisor, resource, for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.    REQUIREMENTS: BSN or ASN degree; less than one year of experience; Maryland RN license; American Heart Association CPR (BLS) certification.   **The hallmark of this innovative program is support. New nurses are provided individual and group support as they participate in classes, present cases, learn clinical skills and gain confidence in their abilities as valuable professionals**
