Job Summary

\n

We are currently seeking full time experienced Critical Care nurses to join our ICU team in Round Rock, Texas.  Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock is a 101-bed, full-service hospital, providing a wide network of medical expertise and resources, as well as an enhanced ability to care for patients. The medical center, adjacent specialty clinics and freestanding cancer center provide a full range of personalized care in more than 40 specialties.

\n

As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. 

\n

What You'll Do

\n\nYou, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.\nBuilding relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.\nCreating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.\nYou will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.\nWork with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.\nYou'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.\nAchieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.\n\n

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

\n\nA deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.\nKnow nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Understand hospital procedures and rules.\nProficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects.\nRespect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.\nExceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing.\nPositive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties.\nExcellent problem-solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking.\nBasic computer skills, encompassing areas such as Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n\nEDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program\nMAJOR - Nursing\nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -\n\nRegistered Nurse (RN)\nBasic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.\n\n\n
