Safety Intern Part Time

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $15.00 - $19.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law

 

Safety Intern - Support the health and safety department and initiatives by assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Safety Intern Part Time: 

Job Description

 

Work alongside a diverse HR team to support safety initiatives including but not limited to:

Issuing proper safety equipment, signs, supplies, apparel, instructions, posters, and more to all locations.Coordinating the ordering and shipment of equipment and supplies when needed.Maintain electronic employee records, with licenses, qualifications, renewals, training, certificates, DOT medical certifications, Drug testing, and more.Communicate with employees on required training, renewals, expiration dates, licenses, tickets, and documents to ensure timely compliance.Follow up with employees and management to ensure all paperwork and compliance is completed timely and thoroughly.Schedule outside vendor training for employees such as boom truck, and aerial lifts.Maintain and review safety worksite inspections. 

 

Qualifications

Safety Intern Part Time:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);or one to three months related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience.Enrollment or completion in a related college or certificate program is a plus
