**Responsibilities:**
+ Greet and guide customers into the sale process as they appear in the store
+ Help customers find a vehicle which meets their needs by using current inventory sheets
+ Enhance the sales process by demonstrating vehicle features
+ Support customers in the completion of their sales applications
+ Assist management to increase sales by inspecting the lot's vehicles daily, reporting any problems to management
+ Help management in ensuring the lot is merchandised correctly to maximize sales

**POSITION SUMMARY**
The Sales Consultant is directly responsible for selling vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.
**DUTIES** **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Focus on understanding and meeting customer needs
+ Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicle in showroom or on road
+ Compute and quote sales price (including tax, trade-in allowance, license fee, and discounts) and requirements for financing payment of vehicle on credit
+ Demonstrate the ability to negotiate and be capable of addressing customer hesitation
+ Suggest optional equipment for customer to purchase
+ Arrange for delivery and registration of vehicle
+ Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations
+ Maintain and utilize CRM database in a thorough and ethical manner
+ Work with the Sales Manager to set personal sales goals and follow a method to achieve those objectives through training and consultations
+ Keep up-to-date on new products, features, accessories, etc. and their benefits to customers
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed

+ Participate in and complete all required training in a timely manner
+ Flexible schedule – with the ability to work evenings and Saturdays
+ Understand, respect and follow the sales process
+ Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures, including the dress code
+ Perform duties as workload necessitates

+ Communicate regularly with supervisor about department issues verbally and/or in written form
+ Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
+ Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of the position

+ Communicate verbally and non-verbally clearly, concisely and with enthusiasm in all interactions
+ Listen actively to understand others completely
+ General housekeeping – maintaining a clean and efficient work area free of debris and clutter
**REQUIRED COMPETENCIES**
+ Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics and a thorough understanding of prices, models, series, options, and other variations of the selling manufacturers' products, as well as competitive products and prices
+ Self-motivated and ethical with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
+ High motivation, work ethic, and enthusiasm with a professional appearance and attitude
+ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Some computer knowledge and/or experience
+ Ability to use a computer and navigate through a custom CRM
+ High school diploma, or equivalent, required
+ Valid driver’s license required
+ Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
+ Must be able to pass a drug test
