How you will create an impact
Reporting to the Head of Financial Lines Australia, you will contribute to the growth and profit of the schemes and facilities portfolio within Financial Lines by underwriting new and renewal scheme business, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new brokers, ensure visibility of AIG in the market and execute agreed strategies.
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
+ Management of Financial Lines business across Professional Indemnity, Management Liability and Cyber products for the schemes and facilities.
+ Mentoring and training of direct report underwriter who assists in the process all new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority and AIG principles.
+ Handle all underwriting referrals from schemes and facilities underwriting team members
+ Develop a pipeline of target delegated underwriting authority arrangements and ensure these are placed in the CRM tool (Salesforce)
+ Monitor progress against budget and manage monthly forecasting
+ Manage the onboarding of new delegated underwriting authority arrangements
+ Assist in the implementation of the Commercial Strategy for Financial Lines
+ Maintain accurate underwriting guidelines, registers and records to contribute to management reporting and timely service
+ Providing training to DUA’s for Underwriting Guidelines and any updates to Underwriting Guidelines.
+ Manage scheme compliance, binder agreements, audits, and work with our Professional Indemnity, Management Liability and Cyber Liability Product Leads.
+ Perform annual audits and monthly bordereau checks for all delegated authority arrangements as per the global DUA framework
+ Manage monthly governance meetings with all delegated authority partners
+ Ensure the maintenance/development of solid working relationships with existing/new producing brokers including embedding improvements into current delegated authority arrangements
+ Work with all business stakeholders to perform an annual reviews of delegated authority arrangements and submit a DUA renewal to International Financial Lines via the global ‘programs’ process
+ Work with actuarial to ensure the profitability of delegated authority arrangements and ongoing pricing improvements within each arrangement
+ Work with operations and delegated authority partners to improve data with bordereau’s being sent to AIG and improving the process for bordereau data escalations
+ Manage all FAC RI placements and sanctions screening exemptions that are required for DUAs in the portfolio
+ Review all claims declinature notices and work with claims department with respect to request for documentation from DUA partners
+ Manage all marketing and webinar opportunities for our DUA partners
+ Work with AIG’s analytics team to improve Power BI reporting for the DUA portfolio including claims listing/portfolio management reporting and ensure data integrity is maintained
What you’ll need to succeed
+ Proven track record demonstrating strong sales skills together with a solid understanding of brokerage market as you will be a key point of contact for our broker panel
+ Analytical skills are required to manage the profitability of brokers in conjunction with the Financial Lines management and existing professional relationships with brokers would be beneficial
+ Proven track record in managing and developing broker relationships, highly collaborative approach and excellent communication & presentation skills
+ Essential time management skills, scheduling visitations, multitasking, strategic planning, goal setting.
+ Mentoring and uplifting skills involving guiding, supporting, and inspiring others to grow and reach their potential.
+ Insurance qualifications (ANZIIF Senior Associate or equivalent) and financial lines experience would be highly regarded
