The Elementary School Psychologist collaborates with Education for Change charter school students, families, community partners and the school team to remove student barriers to learning and build safe and healthy environments for academic success.

Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized testing and observation methods to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needsProvide individual and group counseling services to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, fostering a supportive school environmentCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to students' unique needs and goalsOffer consultation and guidance to school staff on strategies for supporting students' social-emotional development, classroom management, and crisis interventionParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, intervention strategies, and educational placements, ensuring a holistic approach to student supportFacilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health awareness, positive behavior support, and effective communication strategies, fostering understanding and collaboration within the school communityStay informed about current research, best practices, and legal regulations related to special education and school psychology, engaging in ongoing professional development to support diverse student populations Qualifications Valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential with advanced specialization in School PsychologyKnowledge of special education laws and regulations; general education curriculum; response to intervention principles; disabilities and appropriate curriculum; behavior management systemsClearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirementsAbility to work as a member of multi-disciplinary teamValid California driver's license, insurability through Seneca's automobile policy Schedule In person school based schedule:Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4 PM5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid school break days Benefits Starting at $89,095-$103,095 per year, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role$2000 sign-on bonus (for new Seneca employees in this position)Salary increase upon passing a bilingual language proficiency examSalary increases each year Comprehensive employee benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverageLong-term disability, family leave, and life insurancePartially paid premiums for dependants 403b retirement planEmployer-Paid Assistance Plan5 weeks of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid school break daysSeneca supports clinicians toward licensure and beyond:Individual and group supervision, regular clinical case conferences, and licensure and renewal courses led by field experts Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
