Security Shift Supervisor
Summary

This position is responsible for the shift supervision and monitoring of security personnel engaged in the duty of providing a secure environment. These duties include, but are not limited to, the daily operations of security, and assists in the coordination of the integrity and proper functioning of all physical security systems during their assigned shifts. Other related duties as assigned.

These duties include, but are not limited to, the daily operations of security, and assists in the coordination of the integrity and proper functioning of all physical security systems during their assigned shifts. Education

Required:Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Three to five years in a security role, law enforcement or military disciplines or equivalent training which might include criminal justice, homeland security, or law enforcement academy is preferred).

Experience

Required:Minimum two years of supervisory experience or progressively increased responsibility around supervisory-type duties.

Certifications

Required:Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state license/certifications for this position.
 Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department;
 Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
 BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association.
 Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer with the Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire

Preferred:Texas Security Officer Commission Level III

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
