Senior Accountant (Government and Financial Reporting), Stand Together Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Arlington, VA: 
Your Responsibilities IncludeReconcile balance sheets and bank accounts. Assist in month end close process each month by preparing journal entries and reviewing transactions and statements.Assist with annual audits. Work on deferred revenue and prepaid reconciliations for election reporting. Facilitate the accounts payable process between the vendors and end users for election related invoices. Reconcile, prepare, and provide feedback on journal entries for compliance and election reporting. Ensure accuracy, and timely payment and reporting. Collaborate with multiple teams across the Accounting and Finance Capability. Assist in government filings for state, local, and national races. Facilitate timely and accurate processing of electoral invoices. Collaborate with the political team on best practices from an accounting point of view to connect their needs. Perform complex reconciliations and ensure proper accounting treatment. Understand and provide coaching on coding for electoral invoices.Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the OrganizationEmployer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3 years of experience in finance and the required experience, must have:3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel functions such as vlookup, formulas, pivot tables;3 years of experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliations;3 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting; and2 years of experience in Bank permitted up to 3 days per week.What We OfferA meaningful career where your work will improve the lives of millions of Americans – especially the least fortunateA vision-driven community of over 1,000 employees across the country who are dedicated to improving the lives of othersCompetitive salaries and bonuses.
