Position Description:
Mathematica applies expertise at the intersection of technology, data, methods, policy, and practice to improve well-being around the world. We collaborate closely with public- and private-sector partners to translate big questions into deep insights that improve programs, refine strategies, and enhance understanding using technology and advanced analytics. Our work yields actionable information to guide decisions in wide-ranging policy areas, from health, education, early childhood, and family support to nutrition, employment, disability, and international development.
The Senior Client Partner / Client Partner will collaborate with state and local division leadership to sell data assets and analytics services to division clients. Client partners engage in both proactive and RFP-based business development opportunities, including the development of strategic partnerships that lead to new business.
Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities and sell data analytic services and products to the key decision makers in state-managed health, human services, social services, and education programs.Lead the growth and expansion of data assets and data analyticsConsultatively identify requirements and develop solutions for clientsCreate and deliver client presentations, write/lead proposals, and respond to RFPsCollaborate with area director to negotiate client contractsDrive deal and contract agreement structure, and define profit margin and monitor client riskProvide leadership and oversight to responses to RFPs and other solicitations, including the development of technical proposal language and budget specificationsEvaluate and make recommendations to leadership to develop new technical solutions, partner with existing businesses to offer mature technical solutions for clients, or acquire businesses to enhance Mathematica’s technical solutions portfolioWork collaboratively across technology and advisory services teamsStay connected to technical project delivery by serving in a high-level oversight roleIdentify current and future staffing resources necessary to win future work and deliver on current workChampion our values, cultural fundamentals, and culture of belonging, promoting a positive workplace experience for all employees.Additional duties may be assigned as needed.Position Requirements:
Senior Client Partner will have 15+ years of deep experience spanning all of the below areas. Client Partner will have 15 years of experience across any 2 of the below areas
Graduate degree in computer science, business, or other related field or equivalent working experienceDeep understanding of systems, technology, and data applications across Federal Health and Human Services and Food and Nutrition Service ecosystems.Deep expertise in client management and business developmentExperience in achieving sales goalsDeep understanding of positioning data tools, data assets and data analytics consulting servicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership skillsExpert at developing impactful presentations and proposalsExpert at developing new client relationshipsDeep knowledge of data analytics and enabling products -Working knowledge of digital processes, technologies, and tools such as Agile, Jira, Confluence, and TableauProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite productsExperience building and leading teamsHighly team-oriented, able to work in a matrixed environment on a fast-moving, growing teamStrongly preferred: experience working in a delivery setting to design, develop, implement, configure, or integrate health systems
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 for Senior Client Partner, and $160,000 - $200,000 for Client Partner. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
