MS Consultants, one of the largest independent providers of cost segregation studies in the United States, is currently seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to play a key role within our Cost Segregation Team. Remote flexiblity is available.

Responsibilities Travel in and out of state as necessary to complete site inspections and meet with clientsCollection of construction field data on buildings through measuring, and production of detailed notes acceptable for costing and audit purposesCosting of all components of architectural, site, mechanical and electrical construction utilizing pricing manuals as well as industry accepted techniques and methodsSkillfully working with various computer spreadsheet and estimating software programs, as well as electronic estimating equipmentGeneration of computer reports including incorporation of costs details, references, and summaries of technical construction dataDissemination of applications for payment and other cost summary and/or budget informationThis position requires physical activity such as field data collection, which may require eight hours on foot if necessaryReceive and review asset costs and study requirements with managers and staffMeet client deadlinesAccommodate busy season demands during January through AprilLearn applicable tax code and regulations as it pertains to the industryAcquire the skills needed to complete reports with minimal supervisionReview tax returns, tax research, tax communications, and other requested deliverablesTrain and mentor junior level staffMaintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of a bachelor's degreeA minimum of three years of experience in the construction, engineering, real estate and/or equivalent experienceProficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office SuiteSelf-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to travel if needed, travel is estimated to be up to 50% dependent upon client engagements

Preferred:

CPA certification, EA certification, PE certification, PMP certification, CCSP or Member certificationFamiliarity with cost estimating softwarePrior public accounting experience

Hours Of Operation:

Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through FridayOur summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday  We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
