The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for a wide array of data and analytic topics, including:

Ad hoc report development and data exploration,Data/report variance analysis/diagnostics,Development of “light applications” for use by Information Technology (IT) organization,Source-to-Target-Mapping documentation,
• Maintenance of Enterprise Data Dictionary, andTranslation of business/operational requirements to data/technical requirements.

This role requires broad technical and analytic skills – the Senior Data Analyst is expected to be exceptionally resourceful and competent/conversant in all things related to data, its creation, manipulation, and interpretation. As part of the Data & Analytics Practice within IT, the Senior Data Analyst acts in a consultative role with respect to other areas of the business; because of this, it is required to have/develop both specialized knowledge of PT Solutions business, as well as generalized knowledge of various practice data operations (e.g., Finance, Clinical Operations, Talent Acquisition, etc.). As a senior resource, the Senior Data Analyst is expected to operate with minimal supervision as an individual contributor, and as a team lead/advisor to junior analyst resources.

 

Essential Functions

Rapidly works understand, diagnose, communicate, and drive/triage the resolution of data anomalies reDevelops ad hoc reports to satisfy scenarios such as:One-off or short term insights/analysesData exploration/insight value determinationsVariance diagnostics of existing reportsCoordinates with an array groups and individuals across the enterprise, such as business area Stakeholders and Business Analysts (BAs), System/Application and Data SMEs, and Data Engineering teams to understand the data that is created/utilized and how it is managed and leveragedCaptures data/technical requirements for initiatives related to:Data Warehouse development,Systems Integrations, andReport creation/modificationCreates/maintains meticulous documentation of PTS data assets and their managementAssists in development of IT accelerators, such as light applications and metadata reporting

Additional Responsibilities:

Develops presentations to summarize analyses and/or development progressCoordinates and manages IT UAT efforts Required5-7 years professional experience in Data & Analytics roles (analysis, engineering, integration, etc.)Structured Query Language (T-SQL preferred) - Advanced to Expert ProficiencyMicrosoft Excel - Advanced ProficiencyPython - Intermediate to Advanced ProficiencyPower BI (or other visualization tools such as Tableau) - Intermediate ProficiencyVisio - Intermediate ProficiencyExperience using administrative Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)Experience creating and/or interpreting data models/entity relationship diagrams (ERDs)Meticulous attention to detailTime management & organization skillsExcellent written & oral communicationUnderstanding of business/process and data flows and how to document themAbility to work in both in a team environment and as an individual contributorPreferredExperience working in Healthcare IndustryFamiliarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, EPIC, Cerner Soarian, Raintree, etc.)Systems Integration experience (requirement gathering and documentation, including pseudocode)Working understanding of Data Kinesis and Transformation (ETL/ELT and APIs)Experience with HL7/FHIRAzure Database Administration (DBA) experienceJavascriptThoughtSpotCaspioPowerApps

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
