Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to expand our MEP practice in Los Angeles, CA!

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for healthcare/hospital, renewable generation, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, transportation, aviation, and industrial projects.
• Responsible for the review and development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams
• Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices
• Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the country
• Leadership responsibilities include:
o Operating with integrity and sound business principals
o Providing vision, business planning and strategy
o Establishing goals
o Building and maintaining positive client relationships
o Having open communication with your partners and team
o Growing and leading an Electrical practice
• Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor
• The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business
• With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience managing MEP projects; specializing in healthcare/hospital projects
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
• Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably

 

Base Saraly Range:
