Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer- Structures for the Water Resources team a part of your responsibilities will include planning, design, and construction support for Water Resources and applicable Structural projects.   We will count on you to:

Oversee the structural engineering practice within Consor Engineering Water Resources  business line.

Ensure that work is consistent with Consor Engineering and industry design standards

Provide high level QA/QC of engineering plans and specifications

Provide Project Management on high profile and/or complex water/ww/water resources structural projects

As required, provide structural engineering design services to Consor projects in water/ww/water resources, Coastal and Transportation projects

Lead regular practice group meetings to review and update design standard plates, specifications and design documentation criteria

Lead and/or assist in business development activities for structural engineering projects or structural elements of larger pursuits in other Consor vertical business lines

Lead/assist in the Identification of individual key/strategic hires for Consor Engineering

Lead/assist in the Identification and screening of key firms for acquisition into Consor Engineering

Provides leadership on structural engineering elements of key client and project pursuits

Actively participates in key industry conferences, tradeshows and events

Work with multi-disciplinary technical teams Manage work programs, project schedules, and budgets Provide excellent client service Write technical memoranda, engineering reports, and planning studies Develop and deliver complete design and project bid packages Provide construction support Assist with business development and winning the next project (proposal and SOQ writing)      Required Credentials Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) Minimum of 10 years relevant civil engineering experienceProject management experience on Water Resources and applicable structures projects Experience managing public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal). Ability to lead, train, motivate, and work within a team Ability to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-disciplinary teams, and management Project management experience, including developing scopes of work, reviewing invoices, and managing client communications Ability to manage several subconsultants and internal staff on a multi-disciplinary team Design and construction support experience with transportation projects Experience mentoring junior staff Prior consulting experience managing municipal (state, county, city) projects Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS ProjectExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Excellent written and verbal communications skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple priorities Attention to detail, delivering quality work products, and excellent client service

Possible Compensation: The pay range for this role is based on several factors including education, experience, training, licensure and certifications, work location, specific job duties and other organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual and spot incentive program, stock options or ownership (based on individual and company performance).
