Position Summary
As an Environmental Engineer within the EHS Department, you will be responsible for supporting permitting, regulatory compliance and operation of industrial wastewater systems including but not limited to: Activated Sludge, Multi Media Filters, Reverse Osmosis, Ion Exchange, Ultra filtration, Brine Concentrator, Crystallizers, Boilers, Centrifuges, Heat Exchangers, Biological Nutrient Removers (BNR) and Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) systems in such manner as to ensure optimal facility operations.Role and Responsibilities
Ability to support wastewater treatment permitting and compliance at an industrial manufacturing facility, including construction, commissioning and future SAS/Taylor operations.
• Manage environmental permit modification and renewal process at our facility. Ensure that all applicable permits are in place and up-to-date. Review permits and communicate requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to technically analyze data and interpret appropriate outcomes based on regulatory information.
• Capable of establishing and accomplishing objectives within specified time-frames with little management oversight.
• Networking with industry professionals and regulatory entities to disseminate best practices and learnings within the organization.
• Monitor and assess facility practices to ensure that permit requirements are met, including reviewing and preparing monitoring reports. Candidate will have strong problem solving capabilities, ability to institute new and innovative solutions as well as maintain environmental compliance for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in environmental and compliance program management associated with water, waste and chemicals regulations.Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science or closely related field.P.E. is a plus.Knowledge
Highly experienced and trained in interpreting and applying regulatory language of 40 CFR and 30 TAC.Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance relative to wastewater treatment processes.Experience in industrial (preferably microelectronics) wastewater treatment.The current base salary range for this role is between $101,136 and $172,204. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
