Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Ads

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Advertising Finance Team as the US Ad Marketplace & Competitive Insights Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketplace analysis including but not limited to competitive benchmarking, Video Upfront demand across Streaming TV and Linear Television markets, marketplace supply modeling, and understanding/analyzing industry trends. They will partner with Sales to determine Sales and business strategies to grow advertising revenue that are informed by these insights. The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities
- Analysis of macro-economic factors on advertising spend
- Understanding expected growth trajectory of individual industries (ie: Auto, CPG, etc.) and associated impact on advertising based on product launches, industry trends, etc.
- Reading analyst reports to understand key industry trends and expected areas of risk / opportunity
- Quarterly consolidation and benchmarking against Financial results of key competitors
- Analyzing advertisers’ advertising spend on Amazon relative to competition and identifying opportunities for share shift
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify revenue-generating opportunities and develop associated monetization strategies
