Position Specific Description

The Sr. Financial Analyst works closely with NEER IT teams, financial teams, and other stakeholders to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets related to technology initiatives. The analyst ensures that IT expenditures align with organizational goals, financial guidelines, and regulatory requirements.        

 

Essential Responsibilities:    

Provides leadership support for financial analysts resolving impediments or issues that arise Develop, review and consolidate financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making processes for finance manager to review Monitor and analyze actual expenditures against budgeted figures, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions for management intra-month Analyze financial performance and provide insights, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement for finance manager to review Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the IT department Responsible for managing financials for critical projects outside of the financial analyst responsibilities as defined by leadership Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies        

 

Preferences:    

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in budget analysis, financial planning, or a related role. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, and technology project management is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software. Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
