The Oil, Gas Chemical global practice works on projects from gas plants and midstream facilities to refining assets, chemical production plans, and stand-alone storage and logistics facilities. TheSenior Lead Mechanical Engineer will support projects in several industry sectors, including the strategic areas of renewable fuels and carbon capture/reduction. The Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting mechanical designs according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.

Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the Project Managers.Specialize in leading multiple Mechanical personnel in an EPC project environment in the Oil, Gas Chemical industryPrepare and review Mechanical engineering discipline deliverablesApply specialist knowledge of commonly used mechanical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industryApply knowledge and experience to complex projects, find non-standard design solutionsInterface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changesPerform inter-discipline engineering document reviews, such as PID’sProvide field installation support for client and construction personnel and in pre-commissioning start-up supportProvide mentoring of personnel and additional responsibilities such as the opportunity to oversee execution of the above activities performed by less experienced engineersParticipate in sales and marketing efforts, lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve financial performance targetsPrepare and present project labor hour budgets and equipment cost estimatesReport Mechanical discipline progress Prepare technical bid purchase documents based on process datasheets, client specifications, and industry codes and standardsReview vendor equipment bids and prepare technical bid evaluationsReview vendor drawings and other documentation and regularly meet, correspond, and coordinate with equipment vendorsQA/QC process adherenceEffective communication with other engineering disciplines, Procurement, Supplier Quality, and ConstructionCompliance with company and site safety policiesAll other duties as assigned
