Posting Summary Rutgers The State University is seeking a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Adult Outpatient and Child and Adolescent Outpatient of Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare.
Senior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides technical nursing care to child through adult populations. Performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines. Provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides direct care to patients within scope of practice. Contributes to nursing assessment, nursing care planning and treatment plan. Demonstrates competency in performing all procedures within the scope of practice and requirements of the position. Documents all aspects of patient care in the EMR. Utilizes effective communications skills by demonstrating concern and courtesy in all interpersonal relationships. Maintains patient safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Is knowledgeable with and initiates emergency procedures.
