Senior Manager, IT Product Management
Job Description:

Position Description:

Designs, develops, and maintains large, complex, and dynamic products and solutions using Jira and Jira Align according to Agile methodologies. Gathers requirements and translates them into well-defined, consumable epics and stories with clear business value and acceptance criteria. Influences strategic decisions, roadmaps, and resource requirements, proposes solutions, and measures results.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analyzes information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems.Sets and refines quarterly and annual missions.Prepares management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions. Removes system impediments and accelerates value delivery using Agile framework and its corresponding ceremonies/practices – backlog maintenance. Maintains and updates technical process metrics and artifacts using Agile software development lifecycle methodologies.Identifies and conveys common interests and priorities across teams.Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.Responsible for meeting goals on time and on budget.Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.Advise senior management on technical strategy.Mentors junior team members.Develops original and creative technology solutions to ongoing development efforts. Drives Product Strategy for assigned Product focus area. Drives customer partnership and stakeholder management.Maintains a product backlog.Acts as primary liaison for business team members to resolve various project/technology issues.Prepares summary presentations defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, IT Product Management (or a closely related occupation) performing IT product and program management within the Financial Services industry.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, IT Product Management (or a closely related occupation) performing IT product and program management in the Financial Services industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) managing stakeholders with timelines captured in delivery plans, end user collaboration for User Acceptance of critical value adds, production releases with install plans, and post-installation business validations using Powerpoint and Excel.DE designing solutions supported by system and data analysis using Microsoft Visio, Toad, SQL Developer and Sharepoint.DE working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology for delivering critical features in an incremental fashion involving Backlog Management, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum and Continuous Improvement via retrospectives using JIRA, Agile Poker and retrospective tools.DE in addressing production stability issues with analysis and troubleshooting performed checking application logs and data using Splunk, Toad, and SQL Developer.
