Job Summary:
This position supports all aspects needed for product design programs for the branded business to maximize sales and profitability. This role manages product design data and executes cross-functional communication of new product details. This role manages the merchandising market Gantt to ensure all tasks are completed on time. Collaborates cross functionality, maintaining photography consistency in product programs to ensure overall vision and target market needs are met.Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
Assists in developing balanced assortment of products, to include all product design programs, as well as assisting in the selection of all fabric and leather for each market introduction to include married fabric combinations.Coordinates the product strategy sessions and all associated deliverables. Creates and maintains overall market strategy deck through the process. Directs outsource designers with criteria for new style sketch assignments. Works in collaboration with R&D to prioritize new project scheduling.Assists Product Design team with market planning and execution, to include product flow, cover to frame, and market Gantt.Assists Merchandise team with ordering, tracking and deliveries for product materials.Creates and maintains new product documentation through management of new product database, NPI’s, NPM’s, change log, product merchandisers, etc.Collaborates with Merchandise and IT partners on creating and maintaining a PIM system for product data.Assists managers in pertinent research on competition and trends and prepares supporting deliverablesCollaborates with Marketing on and supports the Product Design team with marketing events on behave of Merchandising.Supports Product Design team with deliverables needed as part of the engineering projects and LPDS process.Act as a core team member on LPDS projects during projects in phase 3-5 of the phase gate process.Manages key account projects and alternate channel distribution in conjunction with Sales on behalf of Merchandising.SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position is a supporting merchandising position responsible for assisting in the execution of market-to-market product introductions. This position coordinates and contributes to the introduction process from concept to execution and is responsible for managing merchandising deliverables associated with a new style launch.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience.Proficient with Microsoft SuiteTextile and furniture industry knowledgeStrong presentation skillsUp to 25% Travel Required (R&D, vendors, dealers, market, etc.)PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient with Microsoft Access, Project, and PhotoshopProficient in the use of Adobe InDesign and Adobe IllustratorExperience with Product Information Management or Master Data Management softwareSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
