Senior Project Engineer, Hydrogen VFS **Location:** Canton, GA, United States, 30107 **Company:** Chart Industries **_Ensuring Chart’s Success…_** **_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…_** + Responsible for projects related to Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems + Lead regulatory compliance initiatives, related to Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems and related components + Support for product design and documentation for Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems + Supports changes via the Engineering Change Request process + Support interdepartmental teams to evaluate manufacturability of products, improve production efficiency, assess tooling requirements, and estimating labor/material + Work with interdepartmental teams to ensure continuous compliance to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards + Involvement in relevant standard organizations (ISO, NFPA, SAE, etc) + Observe and practice safety procedures and policies + Follow the 5-Phase release process for new product introduction (ie: APQP) + Define and communicate product/component specifications to suppliers for new products or special customer projects + Observe and practice safety procedures and policies + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management **_Your Education Should Be…_** BS degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** + Frequent standing, sitting, and walking, + Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional heavier lifting + Frequent computer work. + Hands on to include working on different types of trucks **_Your Professional Experience Should Be…_** **Experience** + A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment + Experience in the Heavy Truck, Automotive Industry as an OEM supplier or OEM manufacturer **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Highly motivate self-starter and a team player + Customer service orientation + Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Pak, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Exposure to JD Edwards or similar manufacturing software + Basic understanding of Cryogenic Liquids and their properties + Understanding of heat transfer and vacuum insulation + Heavy Truck, automotive or diesel engine experience as related to fuel delivery and electrical systems a plus + Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc a plus **_Chart is an equal opportunity employer_**
