Overview SECTOR OVERVIEW Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in the renewable energy, transmission, transportation, oil and gas, and manufacturing industries. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking s Senior Project Manager (Land Use Planning) to join our Planning, Permitting and Licensing practice in Florida (offices Tampa, FL, Maitland, FL, or from various locations in the state). Responsibilities Responsibilities This individual will be responsible for selling environmental planning and permitting services. When feasible, this individual should look to sell all of TRC’s Sector Services, e.g., Environmental, Power, Infrastructure, Field Services, and Intelligent Grid Solutions (known as “OneTRC”). Attend technical conferences, showcase our services, enhance TRC’s brand, engage with clients, and represent OneTRC. Maintain a billable utilization target of 50%. Have a significant role in maintaining quality and profitability on TRC’s projects, as well as assisting with managing and developing the skillsets of Project Managers and other employees. Budget, scope, and schedule development, monitoring and adherence for tasks and projects managed. Lead solicitation requests working with technical teams, operations, and market directors. Successfully manage medium to large-scale, often multi-disciplinary projects and maintain productive working relationships with clients is required. Lead permitting efforts in the state of Florida with local, state, and federal permitting. Lead and author National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements. Mentor and coach staff on technical delivery, quality, and project financials. An average of 25% of work time could account for out-of-town traveling. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in natural resource planning or related field. 15 years of experience performing and managing the environmental planning, permitting, and licensing projects. Possess strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment. Local regulatory experience in Florida with Resource Agencies and Local Governments. The successful candidate must provide demonstrated technical experience being a primary author on technical reports and permits for a variety of agencies and project types/sizes. TRC’s strategic clients operate in the utility, renewable energy, private development, and oil and gas sectors. A strong understanding in these markets is required. Proven track record with business development, business management and oversight of regional businesses. Experience managing cross disciplinary scientific and engineering teams and front-end project development projects. Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion. Preferred Qualifications: Masters of Science or Masters of Business Administration Degree preferred. 20+ years of experience. Socioeconomic and Environmental Justice experience. Experience with DOE related projects. Experience with Energy Transition (Hydrogen, CCUS, Woody Biomass, etc.) projects. Experience authoring and managing NEPA Environmental Assessment and/or Environmental Impact Statements. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status. Salary Range USD $150,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
