This position will lead the efforts for Schematic design and PS&E for highway projects for the Transportation division in the DFW area.    

Responsibilities Lead project teams and efforts in the accomplishment project/task assignments related to schematic design and PS&E for highway projectsProvide guidance and direction to project design team for various tasks within the scope of a project, which may include training and supervising project teamLead multi-discipline support consultant teams in project development and designParticipate in the development of innovative design techniques, support tools, and project delivery methodsPresent new ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholdersSupport efforts in proposal development, project scoping as well as with client relationship developmentAttend design review meetings and interact with clients with support staff Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or universityLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas15 years’ multi-discipline experience in schematic design and PS&E, with at least 8 years' managing projects from conception to completion; preferably in the DFW marketAbility to technically and professionally mentor members of project teamExceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationshipsWorking knowledge MicroStation, GeoPak, MS Excel and schedulingEffective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees in an organizationMust be able to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
