Senior Research ManagerJob Description Summary
The Senior Research Manager reports to the Regional Research Lead. This position will be in New Jersey where production or volume require a high level of research expertise and support. The Senior Research Manager will manage all research activities in their market and may manage and oversee research activities and resources in other local offices. This position participates in pitches and presentations with local fee-earners, as well as the overall business development strategy for the market. This role coordinates research activity across service lines and property types.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Provides Management Functions for Research Team
Supports overarching hiring, training, supervision and mentoring of staffOversees and directs local quarterly data compilation and statistical production including forecasting and client requestsAppropriately staffs projects based on level of effort and expertise required for projectsEnsures research teams are meeting needs of local fee-earnersManages the production and distribution of analytical research materials
Due to increased years of experience, performs higher level, more in-depth analysis and written reports than at the Senior Analyst/Analyst levelManages Research Team on data collection and quality as pertains to integration into various technologies across the platform. (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)Ensure compliance with all Regional and National research and company initiativesSupport Pitches and/or Proposals
Participates in development of local requests for research information including market stats and analysis for prospecting, pitch and/or proposal materialsAttends, participates in and presents market information and quarterly updates at branch sales meetings, client pitches and presentationsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree requiredMBA or master’s degree in research, economics, real estate or another related field preferred10+ years of experience in commercial real estate industry or research-related field6+ years of supervisory experience, ability to manage, train and mentor research personnel.Business development: ability to communicate and analyze market conditions for business development; ability to network and foster client relationshipsExpertise in Excel, PowerBi is a plusProfessional acumen, deep understanding of real estate leasing and capital markets business; not just a deep expertise in an individual area or marketplaceCritical thinking/problem solving and demonstration of good judgement to make appropriate decisionsWriting skills: ability to communicate and analyze market conditions for business development to support internal and external clientsAdaptability/change/fast pace: ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage processes in a fast-changing environmentResourcefulness/initiative: ability to successfully resolve problems with minimal directionVerbal communication/ articulate/ polished: strong oral and written communication skillsHigh level presentation skillsConnection/relationship buildingAccountability/ownershipAttention to detailCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
