SENIOR SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER - SENSIENT NATRUAL INGREDIENTS (SNI)

This job will be based out of a home-office in either Chicago, IL, Miami, FLA or the New York City area with up to 60% travel required.

What you’ll do:

As a Sales Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to sell our top-shelf, value-added Dehydrated Vegetables, specifically Onion, Garlic, Parsley and Chilis to world-class customers in the US and Europe by effectively positioning SNI’s (Sensient Natural Ingredients) differentiated value offering to its customers.  SNI is one of only two producers of the highly coveted California origin which trades as a global commodity and is in demand year-round. You will be given ownership over your sales territory/customers with the ability to manage and grow your business by managing primary relationships with customers' Research and Product Development and Purchasing organizations. Develop and manage relationships with top management of selective major customers. You will interface with primary technical contacts in order to solicit new business and to participate actively on long-term projects.  You will state clearly and specifically the mission of the company, determine the unmet needs of the customers within your assigned territory and develop strategies to effectively deal with these issues and close new business.  You will develop and execute programs that will be widely respected as well as accepted by the territory customer base that will result in the acquisition, development and retention of business to enhance Sensient’s brand equity, recognition and value. 

What you’ll bring:

Global, large account experience along with a strategic approach to developing business and winning new accounts in Food Service, Industrial Food Applications, Spice Blending, CPG and Flavor houses. Experience facilitating “innovation days”, familiarity with Sustainability programs and a large network within the food ingredients market are a must!  A record of success selling highly technical, value-added solutions to a professional audience. The ability to navigate large accounts and partner with key decision makers for innovative new product development projects. An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in a Technical or Business-related discipline.  A minimum of ten (10) years of successful business and sales experience, preferably in the spice blending, CPG, Flavor Ingredients or like industries.
