Position Overview:

As a Commercial Security Senior Service Technician, you will play a pivotal role in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting access control equipment and IP-based video systems. This includes a comprehensive range of tasks such as working with electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, IP and analog cameras, intercom systems, and more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skill, productivity, and adherence to Allied Universal Technology Services' (AUTS) core values at all times.

 

Requirements:

Valid State Driver's LicenseValid NICET certification or willing to obtain5+ years of field experience in electronic security systems (access control, video management systems, intrusion detection, and more)High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent requiredStrong troubleshooting skills and mechanical and electronic aptitudeAvailable for scheduled “on-call” duties to respond to emergency service callsExperience with any or all of the following is preferred: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSIUnderstanding of Windows operating systems and overall IT network topologyHighly proactive and skilled individual, and at all times maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services (AUTS) core valuesAbility to meet deadlines and work in a fast-based environment with minimum directionGood verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customersCapable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on ladder heights of up to 16’Be able to work independently or as a member of a team

Scope of Work:

Drive to sites using company vehicles to perform serviceTravel to commercial client sites to service, repair, and troubleshoot access control equipment and IP-based video security systems, including electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systemsTroubleshoot system installations in such a manner as to identify issues and apply the most effective and efficient resolution consistent with company installation standards; identify and repair physical security systems as required to ensure operability and compliance with any applicable building codeApply all necessary documentation for tracking of service-related issuesUtilize tools and equipment safely and effectivelyInterpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documents for low-voltage applicationsFoster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersProvide remote diagnostic support via phone and online channelsFulfill additional duties as assigned by leadership
