We are currently seeking for a Senior Software Engineer* for Java on z/OS Mainframe to strengthen our development teams to support existing and future products for our customers. We offer an international working environment with flat hierarchies, and the opportunity to take on responsibility. You’ll work on cutting-edge solutions which are mission-critical for large customers around the world.

Driving the further development of a net-new product stack to increase the efficiency of large-scale customer applicationsSupporting the entire product life cycle, from requirements analysis over implementation and testing to deliveryWorking in a software development process according to the principles of Lean and Agile

YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalentStrong background in IBM z/OS Mainframe environmentsExtensive Java experience of at least 5 years experience under IBM z/OSProven knowledge in Java Database Connectivity JDBCPowerful debugging and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of COBOL and/ or C is a plusExperience with databases on the mainframe, such as Db2, Adabas or IMS DB is a plusGood skills of CICS, VSAM, SQLJ and WebSphere Liberty would complete your profileExcellent teamwork and communication abilities
