Senior Software Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Systems Engineer to join our team in the first quarter of 2024. This Onsite position can be held in Tampa, FL / Washington DC (NCR) / Panama City Beach, FL.

Responsibilities: Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex software systems. Oversee the development process, ensuring adherence to technical, cost, and schedule objectives. Coordinate with stakeholders and participate in program management reviews and technical reviews. Ensure compliance with DoD technical standards and DoD 5000 guidelines. Manage integration of software components into larger systems. Monitor and report on project metrics and progress. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.  
Skills and Experience: Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript. Experience with software development frameworks and libraries relevant to the project. Expertise in advanced software engineering principles including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis. Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Experience in developing and integrating complex software systems in a multi-disciplinary environment. Knowledge of software version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile teams. Experience with DevOps tools and practices. Ability to conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  Required: U.S. CITIZENSHIP ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Education: High school degree/GED with over 10 years of professional/military experience in software development or coding, OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in a similar field with 3 years of relevant experience.
