Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the office). **Roles and Responsibilities** + Grow and manage relationships with local clients. + Mentor less experienced staff in substation project execution. + Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations including one-line diagrams, three line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling. + Ensure POWER quality procedures are followed and that the team is resourced in an optimal manner. + Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients across multiple offices. + Manage all schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects. **Required Education/Experience** + BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering), BSME (BS Mechanical Engineering), BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) or BSMET (BS Mechanical Engineering Technology) from an accredited university. + Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to obtain within one year. + Experience in 15kV through 345kV physical and electrical substation design, and IEEE/ANSI standards. + Experience in managing 5 or more people on a project team. + Experience filling the role of project engineer for several projects occurring concurrently. + The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel. + Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship. **Desired Education/Experience** + Ten or more years experience in utility substation design is preferred. + Experience with and established positive relationships with local clients. + Experience in 345kV through 500 kV substation design.
