POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior System Architect position will provide innovative ServiceNow solutions that provide high-end on IT Service Mgt (ITSM), Strategic Portfolio Mgt (SPM), IT Operations Mgt (ITOM) and/or IT Asset Mgt (ITAM) services built to accommodate an ever-changing and constantly evolving enterprise needs.  We are looking for a passionate ServiceNow-skilled individual to help continue the growth of our ITSM architecture and systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ServiceNow platforms and be able to apply industry best practices to our suite of application architectures, technologies, tools and provide thought leadership to the organization. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in the ServiceNow space and play a key role in influencing roadmap development. The ideal candidate will require minimal guidance and supervision, maintain a positive attitude, possess excellent communication skills and serve as a mentor to other team members.  
This position is a part of a job family with multiple levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Assists in designing governance and standards activities for technology architecture compliance. Participates in hardware and software technology and product standards selection. Participates and contributes in system architect reviews and ensures architecture adherence.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure system architecture alignment with business objectives. Identifies organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture.
• Evaluates and selects appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for systems. Assesses technology industry and market trends and their impact on the enterprise. Evaluates technology options and advises on technology investment decisions.
• Analyzes and translates business and technical requirements into system designs. Designs and implements end-to-end system architectures that meet business requirements.
• Defines system integration approaches and ensures interoperability of system components. Provides guidance and support to development teams during system implementation. Leads technology change initiatives to deliver business outcomes. May oversee technology implementation and modification activities.
• Documents and communicates technology architecture design and analysis work. Leads the development of system architecture documentation and diagrams.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor Degree In Information Technology preferred, related field or equivalent experience.

5+ years of relevant architecture experience required

Minimum 4 years of ServiceNow platform architecture, support and service delivery experience preferred

Minimum 3 years of ServiceNow platform integration design and support experience preferred

Minimum 3 years of CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Configuration Mgt and Asset Mgt modules preferred

Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge and Portfolio Mgt modules preferred

Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and Release Mgt processes preferred

Experience partnering with suppliers, service providers, business facing IT, and clients to deliver solutions preferred

Skills:

Architecture Frameworks - Proficiency in widely used architecture frameworks like TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) or Zachman Framework to structure and organize architectural artifacts and processes.

Cloud Computing - Knowing how to manage cloud services, develop cloud applications and use cloud architecture to meet customer needs.

DevSecOps & Agile Methodologies - Knowledge of DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and agile development methodologies to facilitate efficient and collaborative software development and deployment.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - The process of managing and provisioning infrastructure through code instead of through manual processes.

Internet of Things (IoT) - Familiarity with IoT concepts and protocols, as well as experience designing architectures that incorporate IoT devices and enable seamless connectivity and data exchange.

Performance and Scalability - The process of measuring and scaling the performance of a system in real time in order to determine problems and identify other factors that may cause problems in the future.

Technical Expertise - A strong understanding of various technologies, platforms, and systems relevant to the organization's architecture, such as networking, databases, cloud computing, and security.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.  5+ years of relevant architecture experience.
