Senior Systems Engineer

Summary: Senior Systems Engineer sought for technical development and oversight of software intensive products in safety critical and defense systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated proficiency with development of software systems.

Preferred Skills:

Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline.

Strong Linux background with virtual machine configuration expertise.

Experience with Ansible automation and security hardening benchmarks.

Knowledge of Eurocontrol, FAA air traffic management procedures, operations, and systems.

Familiarity with sensor data processing techniques like position estimation and sensor fusion.

Proficiency in user experience design for air traffic control applications.

Capability to develop server software applications in mixed Windows/Linux environments.

Understanding of networked computer systems and virtual machine environments.

Experience with cybersecurity measures including system hardening and intrusion testing.

Responsibilities:

Lead technical development for system configuration services targeting safety critical and defense systems.

Provide technical oversight to a product engineering team serving global customers.

Develop and maintain technical specifications/documentation supporting customer deliverables/internal processes.

Head technical investigations for new feature development and change requests from stakeholders.

Coordinate with product development management to ensure technical/cost/schedule performance while maintaining risk levels.

Mentor junior engineers within the team/organization; lead by example in professional growth initiatives.

Contribute to technical/cost proposal preparation for future programs.

Additional Information:

The role involves potential international travel up to 10% of the time.

 

 Pay: 60-70

Pay Details: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
