Senior Systems Engineer I
Job Summary
This role performs key assignments ensuring the success of our pharmacy IT operations by, optimizing system performance, and driving process improvements. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills. This role will focus on mentorship, automation, security, and system reliability, ensuring seamless IT services.

Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms and implements daily operational activities supporting infrastructure technology. This work may include responsibilities to operate, scale, tune and troubleshoot in-house systems, application infrastructure and/or other systems.Identify and coordinate necessary and efficient fixes to ensure continuous operation. Installs, adjusts and enhances systems and associated infrastructure to provide required availability, latency, scalability and efficiency.Identify, implement and deploy internal tools and scripts.Conducts software and/or system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting.Influences standards and methods for operating services and systems.Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.Demonstrates professional competence in infrastructure applications and develops subject matter expertise where applicable.Mentors less experienced members of the team including interns and junior team members.Works cross-functionally to accomplish projects and implement resolutions. Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize configurations.Foster a culture of continuous learning and process improvement within the IT team.Work with IT leadership to align team objectives with overall business goals.Identify and implement automation for access reviews, provisioning, and IT workflows ensuring minimal business and patient impact.Collaborate with Security Operations and Compliance teams to analyze and mitigate security risks.Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and IT policies.Ability to work with remote teams and independently manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
