The Senior Systems Engineer (Active Directory, Cloud) supports the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) and administers, upgrades and when required instantiates Active Directory and Cloud solutions to support various Networking projects. This includes configuring equipment and developing procedures for ongoing maintenance of the unclassified and classified networks. Responsibilities Working with the stakeholder community to determine system requirementsImplementing and managing Active Directory domains and forests at an enterprise level across multiple physical locationsDeveloping and documenting required system designs for design reviewsPreparing system design documents using MS VisioWorking with DoS and service provider staff to migrate on premise services/systems to cloud environmentsOther duties as assigned. Qualifications Networking Certifications a plusCertified Information Security Manager (CISM) a plusBachelor’s Degree – Information or Computer Systems a plusExperience handling multiple projects at onceExperience taking over management of projects at different levels of completionExperience with Active Directory re-structuring and object migrationExperience with Group Policy design, management and troubleshootingExperience with LDAP-based identity management solutionsExperience with identifying and resolving AD performance, reliability, and security issuesExperience with providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problemsTop Secret Clearance required.Must be a United States Citizen.Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.Good working skills in Microsoft office (Word PowerPoint, Project, and Excel)Good interpersonal skills: Applicant should possess the ability to communicate technical and project information to management. Applicant will also assist with authoring and presenting technical detailed implementation and deployment plansBe a self-starter who takes responsibility for completing assignments on timeShall have the requisite skills, expertise, and experience to perform the requirements of each task. Must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized.Must have excellent skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of cloud based environments (i.e., Microsoft Office365 and Azure technologies) and cloud infrastructures (i.e., IaaS, PaaS and SaaS)Good working skills in Remedy trouble ticketing and asset management systemExperience with developing scripted solutions using Microsoft PowerShellExperience with enterprise PKI solutionsPrevious working experience at DoS is desirable, but not requiredITIL experience or certifications
