The Enduring & Open Systems Solutions (EOSS) Team is seeking an experienced **Senior Systems Enginee** r in a role committed to creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems. As part of Collins Mission Systems, we specialize in developing advanced communications systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber and software solutions, as well as providing integration of Mission Systems. As part of the EOSS Department, the Systems Engineering Team supports a variety of communications systems and apertures including Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) antennas for multi-band multi-constellation satellite communications (SATCOM) and Line-of-Sight (LOS) systems for communications and sensing applications.
This position is onsite and can be located in McKinney, TX, Marlborough, MA or Fort Wayne, IN. **It requires an active DoD Secret Security clearance on day 1 with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP.**
**What You Will Do:**
+ Support system trade studies, requirements analysis, architecture, and allocation to subsystems
+ Participate in development of test & integration plans and procedures and generation of test flow diagrams
+ Participate in integration, verification, and validation tasks and activities
+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
+ Manage problems and issues requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation
+ Support the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation
+ Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager
+ Coach and review work to lower-level professionals
+ Influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
+ Manage small projects or processes
+ Manage preparation and execution of program design reviews
+ Review and document moderate changes in systems or processes to solve difficult and often complex problems
+ Communicate with team members within and outside of department or organization
+ Communicate with customers, vendors, or subcontractors
+ Use advanced knowledge from an advanced university degree combined with professional experience
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
+ Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance is required to work in our organization
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
+ Experience in supporting a team in requirements development and system architecture
+ Participation in medium-scale test and integration activities
+ Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DNG)
+ Familiarity of Model-Based Systems Engineering (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody)
+ Knowledge of modeling/simulation tools (e.g., Matlab)
+ Understanding of Systems Engineering support for Software, Hardware, and Firmware development and collaboration
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Familiarity with production and manufacturing
+ Familiarity with qualification processes and certification procedures
+ Knowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System
+ Proficiency in tooling to include Microsoft products or tasking boards (e.g., Jira)
+ Agile working environment experience
+ Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
+ Experience in Communication Radio and Systems including SATCOM, LOS/BLOS antennas, and waveforms
+ Experience with Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) systems

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
