Senior Technical Business Development Manager, Vehicle Sales
Washington DC location preferred.

We're on a journey to build something new! Our team is building a new discovery and shopping products that connect customers with products of their choice in complex automotive space.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Development Manager to recruit and engage automotive dealer groups for strategic partnerships.

The Senior Technical Business Development Manager (Sr. Tech BDM) will advocate internally and externally on behalf of Amazon. The Sr. Tech BDM should have proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving growth. The Sr. Tech BDM must be an effective driver and communicator in working with other key stakeholders, including dealer partners, account managers, product teams, and senior leadership.

You will influence and build relationships with dealer groups to drive revenue and increase inventory coverage. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple teams.

Using your deep knowledge of the Automotive landscape, and your solution-oriented mindset, you will develop opportunities for Amazon. You are an excellent oral and written communicator and you possess an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions. You are highly organized and have the ability to work closely and constructively cross-functional teams. You're particularly adept at developing strong, one-to-one relationships and possess a track record of successful negotiation.

*This role may require business travel to dealer locations*

Key job responsibilities
1) Generate dealer leads through leveraging other areas of business in Amazon and or networking at industry events with the dealer groups
2) Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the dealer groups in the industry.
3) Foster strong relationships with dealers and dealer groups to ensure a collaborative and productive partnership.
4) Build and nurture strong relationships with dealers, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive partnership environment.
5) Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors

A day in the life
This role will play a critical part in scaling and expanding our program. Initially, this role will work to reach out to our first dealers through pitching Amazon value proposition to onboarding. As the program evolves, this role will focus on building scalable processes and playbooks like creating business development playbook starting from lead generation and vetting to onboarding. An ideal candidate is analytical, autonomous, and cross functionally collaborative with effective communication skills.

We’re collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for products in the complex automotive space.
